20W B20 Electronic Fence Modules Integrated With RF Power Amplifier
In modern wireless communication devices, accurate radio frequency (RF) monitoring and power management are essential to ensure system performance, reliability and safety. For this reason, ZDTECH has specially developed this data acquisition RF power amplifier.
The rf power module is equipped with 6 ports for power supply and monitoring. Among them, PIN 1 and PIN 4 are defined as RS485A and RS485B respectively, which can be used to realize serial communication, convenient for data interaction with other devices to obtain the working status information of the module or configure it. PIN5 is ground (GND), which provides a stable reference potential for the module. PIN2 and PIN3 represent low-level enable and high-level enable respectively, allowing the module to work normally. PIN 6 provides a DC +28V power input to provide the necessary power support for the normal operation of the RF power amplifier.
We use 1 SMA-50KFD connector for the PA-OUT port. This high-quality connector can ensure stable RF signal output and is suitable for a variety of high-power RF application scenarios. At the same time, it is equipped with 5 MCX connectors for PA - IN, LNA - OUT and LNA - IN, which are convenient for connecting different RF components, such as low noise amplifiers (LNA) and power amplifiers (PA), to build flexible RF links.
Temperature protection mechanism. When the module detects an over-temperature alarm, the alarm threshold is +85°C. In this case, the rf power module will automatically switch off the PA to prevent the device from being damaged by overheating. Once the temperature drops to +65°C, the PA will automatically turn on again without manual intervention, ensuring that the system continues to operate within a safe temperature range. When the output power is greater than Po + 2dB, the module will trigger an over-power alarm. This function helps protect subsequent RF equipment and the entire communication link, avoiding equipment damage or signal distortion caused by excessive power.
Accurate detection of reverse power. It can detect total power and test the modulated signal. The detection range is greater than 20dBm and the detection accuracy is less than ±2dBm. Through accurate reverse power detection, abnormal working conditions of the PA, such as matching network failure, can be discovered in time. The amplifier temperature detection range covers 0°C - +85°C, and the detection accuracy is less than ±3°C. This high-precision temperature detection can accurately reflect the operating environment temperature of the power amplifier and provide reliable data support for the thermal management of the system.
